Wim Hof - The Man On a Mission To Help People Understand The Healing Power of Nature and Breathing!
By Jatinder Singh, Associate Partner & Mentorship Coach, Lighthouse International
Wim Hof, known as the "Iceman" for the meditation and breathing techniques he practices, is able to withstand sub-zero temperatures on his body! He holds over 20 world records, including one for the longest ice bath and he regularly climbs mountains in nothing but his shorts and shoes!
In the inspiring video below, Mr Hof states that his purpose is not to do this for attention. Instead, he wants to inspire people to get out of their comfort zone... to explore life, to feel the healing power of nature and to understand how breathing can bring inner peace into their lives. Through this transformational impact from the control of their breath, they will be able to take greater control of their lives and not be so influenced by other factors to make them happy - such as money and material goods.
"The challenge in life is not to climb Mount Everest in shorts, that's good to attract attention, but to bring about the wisdom of nature itself."

I am passionate about fulfilling my potential in life and helping others to do the same, so that we can all make a difference to society. I’ve learnt that fulfilment comes from pursuing a goal that is greater than my own ambitions and having a real purpose.
I originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant but it was helping people through entrepreneurship and career development, rather than doing the numbers when I really came started to enjoy myself. I have found that we aren’t taught as youngsters how to deal with challenging life situations and so there are many people that on the “outside” are fine, but “inside” really struggle.
