Why Your Purpose Is The Reason For Success
A Dose of Inspiration To Get Your Day Going...
By Phoebe McHugh, Legends Report Contributor
"Why do you do what you do? What is the reason? Why do you exist?"
Throughout the centuries, our society has grown and it has changed. We have seen great minds think up new philosophies and new thoughts.
We have seen new ideas, beliefs and wonders happen before us. And with this, we have built a greater history of understanding a fundamental question, why do we exist?
What is the purpose of our being? What is the reason?
I have no idea.
And I don’t want to have any idea; I love the broad the question it is. I thrive on the benevolent wonder of existence that seems to challenge every mind to this day. So what should I do to motivate me when I don’t even know why I am living?
"How can you improve your life if you have no reason to improve it?"
Here is a video that helps gives a greater understanding of one's everyday life. It thrives on the word purpose. Find your purpose. Find what you believe will challenge you, to help you grow as a person.
Warsan Shire, a British writer and poet, once said,
“It's not my responsibility to be beautiful. I'm not alive for that purpose. My existence is not about how desirable you find me.”
― Warsan Shire
To Ms Shire, her purpose is so much deeper than what she sees on the outside. It's a reason for her to find the motivation to work hard, to develop her creativity to source the internal happiness in her being.
"Your purpose is always ALWAYS something that lights a fire in you.
Your purpose is that fire, the reason you do what you do."
It can be as simple as baking a cake. If you have never baked a cake before, go and bake a cake! 🙂 FIND what fuels your purpose. And no, it does not have to be something you have already done, something you think is the only ‘thing’ your good at. A greater purpose will come when you take the time to find it, to learn and try new experiences, to challenge that fear of heights you have always had. It can be your family, friends, your work or your hobby. Whatever it is, finding your purpose will spark motivation, and with that motivation, success becomes a little more straightforward.
"Do you know and do you not agree that there is someone with less intelligence than you? Started with less money than you? Less opportunities than you have? And worst of all, less passion than you. And they are living their dreams. Earning millions, or doing something that you would love to do. Someone has already done and is already doing what you want to do. And no they didn’t fall into a rich family to do so. They were not born lucky. You can be more; you can have more, do more and be more. You know this. You wouldn’t be listening otherwise."
As the video says, our greatest purpose often involves others, true motivation doesn't just come from fulfilling our own needs. It comes from doing that while empowering and enabling others in some way.
How about making now a great time to start exploring your purpose and start really living...Here's the video...
