Actress Ashley Judd was one of the first women to come forward and open up about the sexual allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein. When Ms Judd was asked what she would say to Mr Weinstein today, her response seen in this video was incredibly powerful:
“I love you and I understand that you are sick and suffering, and there is help for a guy like you, too, and it's entirely up to you to get that help.”
Ms Judd’s words of love, compassion and understanding are a shining example to us all that it's not what happens to us that determines who we are but rather how we choose to respond. Her example shows an enormous courage in coming forward and reporting the issue while having the love to feel compassion for her persecutor.
