When you are one of the wealthiest men in the world and regarded as one of the greatest investors of our time - it is not surprising that many people will seek out your advice for financial investment. However, at the Legends Report you may have noticed that we rarely, or directly, feature Warren Buffett's financial investments!
While important, Mr Buffett is respected because of his life wisdom, not just for his financial knowledge. In this incredibly humbling video, he shows us an example of this. He discusses how success is not just about how much money you have, but instead, how many people love and care for you as a person.
"I've never seen anyone with a lot of people who love them when they get to be 70 who is an unhappy individual. I have seen a lot of people with a lot of money who at 70 are a very unhappy individuals and nobody loves them. So the ultimate satisfaction in life is not how big your bank account is, but whether the people you want to love you actually do love you...Love is the ultimate commodity, it's infinite - the more you give the more you get."
I'm sure you will agree that it's very rare to hear such wisdom coming from the 'world of finance.' In an area of society, in which the people involved are attributed with causing many of the world's problems - hearing such honesty is humbling. Warren Buffett is showing us how as human beings, virtually everyone wants the same - a good standard of living and to be surrounded by people who they care for and love, and vice-versa. When we lose sight of the latter in the pursuit of the former, we can cause ourselves a lot of unhappiness!
