Why Tony Robbins Appreciates The Wind Blowing In His Face

A Dose of Inspiration to Get Your Day Moving...

By Jatinder Singh, Associate Partner & Mentorship Coach, Lighthouse International

You may have noticed that we have featured a few videos of the peak performance coach Tony Robbins, discussing his morning routine. That's because we know just how many legends have attributed successful routines to their success 🙂 After all, a good morning routine can set us up for a very powerful and productive day.

Tony Robbins, in particular, includes feeling gratitude as part of his 10-minute morning routine. In this video, he goes into more depth about why he chooses to include a gratitude practice as part of this:

"When I look at people they are almost always reacting out of anger or reacting out of fear. Gratitude is the antidote. I think of three things to be grateful for...One of them is very simple like the wind on my face or something beautiful like my child's smile and the reason I do that is that I remember interviewing astronauts like Buzz Aldrin...[he was 32] and visited the moon, what the hell do you do for the rest of your life?...Many of them had some very hard emotional challenges afterwards because they forgot to find adventure in a smile, they thought you had to go to the moon. So I trained myself to make sure not just the big beautiful things that are part of my life but the little things."

What great wisdom here from him! A key part is noticing how he say's that he trained himself to be able to feel gratitude. He wasn't - like most people, a born natural at this. The key to getting better as with most things, is to practice, practice practice!
