"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

How can we explain what happened in the recent attack on Paris to young and innocent children? When terrible events like those happen in the streets of Paris and the Bataclan theatre, it can stun and bewilder the best of us as to why and how anyone could commit such a thing. Trying to make sense of events like this can test anyone’s view of the world and the people in it.

It’s no wonder then, that a very touching interview of a French father explaining what has happened to his little boy, while viewing memorials outside the Bataclan, has gone viral on the internet. How the father chooses to see the events and how he changes his sons whole attitude and feeling from one of fear to one of hope is so inspiring that it touches something very human inside us all. Watch the moving interview here...

Your Outlook On Life Determines Everything!

The outlook we choose to have of life, people and situations around us has far more of an effect than we can possibly imagine. In this instance, a father had a choice to teach his son to grow up seeing the world through the eyes of fear... or through the eyes of love. This may well shape the boy’s entire life experience! It’s a choice we all have and one that needs to be made far more, on both sides of this and any other conflict whether that’s abroad or in our personal lives. As the saying goes, ‘you can’t fight fire with fire’.
