Aid Worker Breaks Down After 4 Days of No Sleep

By Sukh Singh, Associate Partner, Lighthouse International

Recently I was getting ready to finish the day and decided to check CNN for the latest news from America. I came across this video and shared it with the team. We all felt that we needed to share this on the Legends Report.

Zaidoun al-Zouabi speaks for many men, women and children who have lost their families, who are being tortured or even dying in their efforts to find freedom. This isn't just in Syria, it may be happening in the area you live in, that there are people being hurt there too. That isn’t easy for me to write or for us to think about.

When I watched this, I was warm, safe inside my own room. After watching the clip, I said to myself, ‘while I’m here in London, this is happening somewhere right now.’

Everyone who has truly succeeded in some way in life - the legends - are just human beings who open their eyes to what’s going on around them. They accept what’s happening in the world and in their own personal and professional lives too. That ability to face reality is what allows them to succeed. Just take Bill Gates and his wife Melinda as an example, seeing suffering in Africa changed the whole direction of both of their lives...

I recommend watching the full 9 minute interview with Zaidoun here.
