Have you ever watched a movie and known that the odds were against the main hero, but you hope beyond hope that they can make it? Ever felt yourself holding on tightly to your seat hoping that it would work out?
Why do we do that? Why do we hope? Why do we want things to be better, to be safer, happier? For ourselves and for others too?
Underneath all our busy lives, our deadlines, our struggles.. we want to live life - I mean really live it. We want our human spirit to thrive, to pioneer, to break boundaries, to go beyond our limitations. Underneath it all we don't want to be unhappy. We don't want to live boring, stressful lives... we want more.
This poem written by Dylan Thomas, read by Sir Anthony Hopkins, is about exactly that (you may recognise it from the film Interstellar). Take 3 minutes in your life now to connect with what it is that keeps us moving: The power of the human spirit!
Hold On! There's More...
