This is such a touching and inspiring classic song about finding redemption and being saved from despair that's been covered by countless artists over the years. The words were first composed by an English Poet and Clergyman, John Newton in 1779 just after his ship had been so violently battered by a storm that he cried out for God's mercy. Here is an incredibly touching acapella rendition by 2015 UK X-Factor contestant, 21 year old Chloe Paige. She wowed the judges and crowd with her performance and it shows just how powerful this song is that it barely even needs a musical backing when sung so passionately and from the heart.
