With the new UK series of Strictly Come Dancing well underway, what better opportunity than to learn from one of the pro dancers on the show?

Professional dancer Karen Clifton has shared some great insights this week, into her training routines. There's something for everyone there, from push-ups to planks to skipping, squats, pilates and walking the dog. Check out this little snippet below:

As Ms Clifton says on the exercise:

"Skipping ropes are just fun... As a kid, you don't even think of it as exercise, and I can be creative with different routines."

And as the Telegraph notes in their article:

"According to the British Rope Skipping Association, 10 minutes of skipping can have the same health benefits as a 45-minute run. As well as transporting you back to your childhood, it packs a punch as a proper cardio workout."

Exercise doesn't have to mean you need to turn into an athlete overnight. Developing the discipline we want can start with keeping one commitment to ourselves and learning to do it very well. Check out the full insight into Ms Clifton's training here.

How often do you exercise?

1-2 times per week3-5 times per weekEvery dayI don’t exercise at the moment but really want toI exercise my fingers and thumbs all the time... While using my phone!

If there was one thing that would make a massive difference to your fitness levels, what would it be? (For example, running twice a week, eating less junk food, being part of a fitness group)
