'Don't Be A Tough Guy': Paul Walker's Best Advice To Vin Diesel

Actors Paul Walker and Vin Diesel both became very close friends while filming the various instalments of the Fast & Furious movie franchise. However, in 2013, Mr Walker was tragically killed in a real-life automobile accident, age 40. A few years before this though, he had given some priceless life advice to his friend on the eve of the birth of his baby daughter, that will stay with him forever. Both known for playing macho 'tough guy' characters in their movie roles, Mr Diesel (an ex-nightclub bouncer) was advised not to ignore his natural caring instincts during the birth, but to embrace them, which Vin Diesel did - giving him "the best day of my life".
The simple moral of the story is that being 'strong' or 'tough' in life, does not mean the absence of softer traits such as care, nurture, love and empathy. Indeed it is being able to balance feelings like courage and conviction with consideration and care that makes us ultimately whole, strong and well-balanced human beings, able to experience and enjoy life to the fullest...
